Badoo have really taken the traditional dating site business model and turned it on its head! The site is fresh and new in every way. You don’t have to pay expensive membership fees to write other members a message or see their pictures; instead all you have to do is upload three of your own. This “I’ll show you mine if you show me yours” system ensures that the majority of profiles are high quality. The chat feature is also a lot of fun, you have a three minute conversation with another stranger on the network, and then decide if you would like to continue knowing them.
By far the biggest difference with the site is the payment model. Instead of a premium membership you can choose to “activate” your superpowers for a small fee. This enables you to find out who has shown an interest in your profile, browse other profiles anonymously and have your messages receive priority in other member’s inboxes.
It is also possible to buy credits. These credits can be used to send gifts, see more matches (known as encounters on the site) or bump your profile to top position in the search results.Visit Badoo
Usability and Safety:
Because the site is so innovative, it took me a while to get used to all the options available, this would be the only reason for its drop in ratings. I was shocked by how usable the basic model of membership is. They do give a lot for free. The various payment options really add to a great product and are the cheapest we have found to date. Usability wise, the site is very interactive without being gimmicky. Safety was never a concern while using the site, it is trustworthy and one of the few operators to not use the auto renewal policy. Ranked as the 62nd largest website on the planet they have recently been featured on Wired, Reuters, The Financial Times and Business Insider to name but a few.
Prices operate at two different levels, Credits and Superpowers. For more information on how these work, please visit the site.
